Blackmarket
Four strange eggs were unearthed in lake havasu city, az. soon after, they hatched three awkward men and one depressed owl. they all looked at each other and and said in unison "thats right."
Making a band rock band work is not easy, we all know this. If the grind of the business and touring don’t get to you, those sharing the stage with you might. Luckily for Lake Havasu City’s Blackmarket, dissention isn’t something to worry about as the group has been playing together since junior high. With years of friendship and chemistry on their side, they bring a refreshing attitude and sound to the music industry with their debut full length, The Elephant in the Room, out this winter on No Office Records. Produced by Sean Slade (Radiohead, Dinosaur Jr., Hole) and Matthew Ellard (Morphine, Weezer, Elliott Smith), The Elephant in the Room showcases Blackmarket’s catchy melodies, insightful lyrics and overall brilliant musicianship. Slade and Ellard also produced their self-titled EP which was called “surprisingly compelling, one relentless riff to another, ” by Performing Songwriter. The Elephant In The Room will be released November 11, 2008 by No Office Records.
